The Big Lake Lioness report another very strong turnout for their American Red Cross blood drive at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church Big Lake Campus Monday. “Our goal was 110 pints,” said Lioness Mary Noble, who chaired the event. In the end, 130 donors signed in. Eighteen of those were deferred. Fourteen people donated double red blood cells, a process which takes a little longer than a usual donation and counts for two single donations. “And there were 97 single donations for a total of 125,” said Noble. “We really want to thank everyone who turned out to support this. They are the ones who make these events so successful.”
