BIG LAKE SCHOOL DISTRICT 727

NOTICE OF PUBLIC EARING

REGARDING PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the School Board of Independent School District 727 (Big Lake), Minnesota (the District) will hold a public hearing to consider granting an abatement of the property taxes imposed by the District (the Property Tax Abatement) on a parcel of property owned by Great River Energy, Lot 1, Block 1, Ahrens Addition as Outlot C, Big Lake Marketplace Second Addition in Big Lake, Minnesota (the Property). The public hearing will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 6:30 p.m., Big Lake High School Board Room located at 501 Minnesota Avenue, Big Lake, Minnesota.

The purpose of grading the Property Tax Abatement is to provide funds to construct an ice arena on land owned by the Big Lake-Becker Ice Association. The total estimated amount of the Property Tax Abatement by the District is $540,000.

All interested persons may appear at the public hearing and present their views with respect to Property Tax Abatement either orally or in writing. Alternatively, written comments may be filed with Tim Stockstead, School Board Clerk, prior to the public hearing. Auxiliary aids are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance of the public hearing. Please contact the District at 763-262-2536 to make arrangements.
