The Big Lake Board of Education postponed discussion of the levy referendum feasibility subcommittee report and an update on the ice arena tax abatement request at their meeting Thursday.
Several members of the Big Lake Ice Association were present at the meeting and addressed the board in support of the arena during open forum. However they had to wait until the end of the meeting to learn the discussion was to be postponed until Sept. 9 at 8:01 p.m.
Treasurer Kevin Phillippe made the motion, citing the absence of Board Members Dan Nygaard and Tim Stockstead. The items were listed on the agenda as informative and for action to be taken.
