Jazz band performs at Mississippi 8 festival

The 2013-14 Big Lake High School Jazz Band.  They participated in the Mississippi 8 Jazz Festival Nov. 26  at North Branch High School.  The group performed three pieces for the clinicians.
How High The Moon by Hamilton and Lewis.  This piece featured Rachel Olson, trumpet solo.
Autumn Twilight by Larry Neeck.  This piece featured Jordyn Robarge, alto sax solo.
Sway by Gimbel and Ruiz.  This piece featured Caitlin Loeffler, trumpet and Jordyn Robarge, alto sax soloists.
Their next performance will be at the BLHS Holiday Concert on Monday, December 16th at 7:30pm.

THE CITY OF CLEARWATER is no longer accepting brush near the maintenance building on Co. Rd. 75. The maintenance crew is picking up brush the first Wednesday of each month with curbside pick-up. The site will be used for installation of a solar energy system. Residents can still drop off leaves and grass cuttings at the compost site behind the maintenance.
