After a fairly prolific month of April for Playstation 5 researchers, the month of May seems to be getting darker for French retailers. The news is indeed quite bad on the side of the semiconductor market, which has suffered greatly since the first factory closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Intel has claimed that the situation should not return to normal before the year 2024. Very bad news for Sony and PS5 buyers who still have to take their troubles patiently. But the situation is not hopeless for French consumers, who can still take advantage of restocking, provided they react as soon as possible and respect certain purchasing advice. To do this, here is the live stock monitoring of the day.

Friday May 6 Stock Monitoring Live

10h23: As of now, no news of a restock has yet hit the planet PS5 this Friday.

For the moment no restocking is planned this afternoon on the sites French resale. The console appeared briefly this Wednesday at Micromania, but the retailer’s website suffered greatly from the high influx of buyers. For this Thursday, we will have to be patient, no site has planned to put the console on sale. If no offer is offered during the day, you will have to wait until tomorrow morning, around 9 a.m., to get new information.

After a month rich in stock for the Sony console, restocking is slowing down, apart from a few copies put on sale by Auchan on Monday. But the situation is a good omen for potential buyers of the Playstation 5, who are seeing an increase in the “drops” of the console. If you want to prepare yourself effectively for the next restocking (which will probably take place this Tuesday morning), you can always consult the various tips, techniques and buying advice on our article below:

    No PS5 until 2024 ?

The month of May starts with bad news that can be found in an article from CNBC. In a recent interview with Pat Gelsinger, the CEO of Intel, the newspaper posed the sore question, and asked for an estimated duration of the shortage of semiconductors which penalizes the computer markets, home consoles and of the automobile. The answer is not very reassuring: “ We believe that the global shortage of semiconductors will extend to 2024, despite our previous estimates (2023), because shortages are now affecting equipment and some production lines will be under severe pressure.” Information a bad omen for the market for home consoles and graphics cards.
